Listen, I’m not going to pretend I’ve been keeping up with college basketball as much as one should. I’ve barely had time to follow the pro game, so college has definitely fallen through the cracks in terms of my sports viewership.
BUT 1.) I did have my eye on it when I could and 2.) who doesn’t love March Madness and making a bracket?
Here’s the bracket I cooked up for this year, which is sure to be busted by the end of Friday.
I’ve got Purdue going on the "2019 Virginia” path, winning the championship the year after getting shocked in the first round and being defeated by a 16 seed. It’ll be a very midwestern championship game as the Boilermakers will be facing the Iowa State Cyclones in the championship game.
I’m being a homer and having Texas go to the Sweet Sixteen (I couldn’t handle picking Rick Barnes and Tennessee to defeat the Longhorns) as well as New Mexico and Colorado making it into the second weekend as well. It’s always fun to pick and hope for the bracket-busting upsets, but when it comes down to it, the Final Four is usually made up of the teams you would expect to be there and that’s what I’m thinking will happen this year.
Want to share your bracket? Think I’m totally crazy? Let me know!
